Christmas Fun for some very special children! 
Love the One hosted their first Christmas party for the children in the community around the new children’s clinic in Orissa.
180 very excited children from very poor backgrounds all arrived for a day of fun, games including a mini olympics (complete with their very own awards ceremony gold medals and trophies!), christmas crafts, songs, yummy food and lots of Christmas presents to go home with!!
Many of the children had never been to a Christmas party before and were just so excited with all the games and songs and they loved the ‘alternative’ nativity from the donkeys point of view! Dilip and Joe, some of the Love the One staff kept the kids entertained as a clown and Father Christmas and a combined India and UK team did an amazing job at entertaining the children and having the children, their parents and the team rolling around the floor in giggles!
Some of the children with more complex needs who attend the clinic on a regular basis were able to join in also and everyone had a fabulous day and left with arms full of fun pressies and tummies full of yummy biryani!!
Love the One look forward to many more Christmas parties for more and more of these very special children in the poorest and most rural areas of India.
