Provision of food, schooling and love for over 1000 needy children, in partnership with Compassion International

 

       

 

TREAD, an Indian NGO, together with their UK counterpart Friends of Tread runs several Child Development Centres, in Andhra Pradesh and Orissa. In partnership with Compassion East India they provide the poorest children with an opportunity to go to school, eat two nutritious meals a day and have mentoring and input to encourage them to strive for a better future.

TREAD also run an orphan assistance program to provide loving support for the most vulnerable.

 

What do we offer...

 

Love the One is working in partnership with TREAD and Friends of Tread in providing free medical care and advice to the children in their projects, and training up local people in child health care. The areas in which TREAD works are rural and poverty stricken, with currently very limited medical facilities. Many of the children are malnourished and dying from often preventable causes. Our hope is that as this work grows,  sustainable medical services can be extended out into the nearby communities.
